Women in Finance Charter

We’re proud to announce that Mercantile Trust has joined the Women in Finance Charter.
What is the Women in Finance Charter?
The Women in Finance Charter is a pledge for gender balance across financial services, launched by HM Treasury in response to Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia’s 2016 review ‘Empowering Productivity: Harnessing the talents of women in financial services’.
What does gender representation at Mercantile Trust look like today?
- 50% of our senior managers are women
- 43% of our staff identify as female
What is our target for women in senior management?
We aim to maintain at least 50% female representation in senior management by the end of 2026.
By signing the Charter, we’re making a public commitment to helping more women progress into senior roles and to building a more inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
At Mercantile Trust, we know that a diverse team brings fresh ideas, stronger decisions, and better outcomes for our customers. Joining the Charter is just one of the ways we’re supporting positive change in our industry — and we look forward to tracking our progress and sharing what we learn along the way.
We’re proud to be part of this important movement and excited for what’s ahead!
